In 2022, the laboratory, in its first year since reorganization, continued to integrate basic science with the demands of major engineering projects, making significant progress in key research and development programs, national natural science foundation projects, and international collaborations.
The laboratory undertook a total of 292 national-level research projects/sub-projects and international cooperation projects. This included leading 68 projects under the National Key Research and Development Program, leading 52 sub-projects under the National Key Research and Development Program, and participating in 35 other projects under this program. Additionally, the laboratory undertook 126 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, including 12 major and joint funds, 1 fund for innovative groups, 4 funds for national outstanding youth, 8 funds for national excellent youth, 15 key funds, and 68 other funds for various categories such as general, youth, and international cooperation. Moreover, the laboratory also participated in 31 defense projects, 37 other vertical projects, and 38 other international cooperation projects.
Furthermore, the laboratory secured funding for 40 major cross-disciplinary projects exceeding 3 million yuan and 14 projects exceeding 5 million yuan. Among these, there were 10 major projects related to collaborative agreements with joint institutions.
